Work as Play: How Charles and Ray Eames Built a Legacy by Amusing Themselves Format – This presentation explores how Charles and Ray Eames sense of play shaped their work across disciplines, from furniture design and architecture to exhibitions and film, as well as how that work shaped American Modernism. Learn about Charles and Ray Eames as individuals and collaborators, focusing on their belief that play is an intrinsic part of meaningful work. Presented by: Jen Teckenburg

Human Factors in Workplace Design: Designing Spaces That Are More Naturally Human Format – When we feel better, we work better. That’s one of many reasons it’s critical to consider human factors in workplace design. By providing an overview of physical, social, and cognitive ergonomics, this CEU will help participants design workplaces that are healthier for workers. Presented by: Jeevan Peter, MPT, CEAS II

Virtual Care and the Evolution of Exam Spaces Format: In this course, you will learn about the growing importance and acceptance of telemedicine. You’ll hear the reasons why it is becoming a viable alternative in serving a wide range of patient needs. And, you will see the effect that technology is having on telemedicine and the ways that space design strategies can advance its practice while keeping the people involved central to the experience. Our chapter has an active voice in the community, maintaining communication with our membership through our website, weekly updated blog, social media, and electronic correspondence. The chapter also reaches out to prospective members, industry partners, and members of other design associations. This collaboration enables the IIDA Oregon chapter to increase interest and participation in chapter events while providing our members with additional opportunities to get involved in their community.
