As a manufacturer or building material supplier you should take product transparency seriously. Come learn why.
About this Event
Hello manufacturer, product representative, distributor or other professional in the building material supply chain.
- Have you been asked by an architect, designer, specification writer or consultant to provide documentation about the ingredients in your product? Did they use the term ‘Red List Free’?
- Have you been asked to remove certain ingredients from your products?
- Have you tried to obtain information from your material/ingredient suppliers only to be told ‘no’?
- Have you been frustrated with a lack of peer-to-peer support to help answer questions?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the questions above let me tell you are not alone. Come learn about product transparency labels from the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) Declare, Cradle -to-Cradle (C2C), the Healthy Products Declaration Collaborative (HPD), and a manufacturer about how transparency has transformed their business.

About Sustainable Building Week
October 14, 2019 kicks off the second annual Sustainable Building Week (SBW) an event-filled week from a cross section of Portland’s design professional organizations. The week will bring the best and brightest building professional organizations together to educate, connect and foster opportunities for future collaboration to Keep Portland Green. Whether its combating climate change, protecting our natural resources or investigating the increasing number of dangerous chemicals in our indoor spaces, the multitude of issues that need to be addressed require more attention by all of us.
Sustainable Building Week works to Keep Portland Green. SBW offers a week of events to break down siloed thinking to improve cross-disciplinary education, connectivity and future collaboration to promote sustainable practices and design across the city of Portland and beyond.
