Are you interested in furthering your professional education and providing better services to your clients? Then get CDT (Construction Documents Technologist) certified with the support of the Portland’s CSI Chapter. We offer classes with experienced instructors to help you understand the material needed to pass the exam.
CSI professional credentials are evidence of proven knowledge, education, and experience with construction documents. Holding a certification demonstrates professional commitment, credibility and reliability to employers, colleagues, and clients.
This nine-class series is useful for anyone in the A/E/C industry who is interested in understanding the process, roles/responsibilities, and project delivery from cradle to grave. This class is also beneficial as an additional resource to the textbook for preparing for the CDT exam. Through CSI’s Certification Program, you can develop a conceptual understanding of the entire construction process.
The CDT exam (Construction Documents Technologist) is the foundation course for all construction individuals. Studying for the exam will help you learn about contractual relationships and documents organization/procedures. Getting CDT certification means that you understand how a project unfolds from conception to delivery and you understand the documentation involved. Candidates can have any level of experience in any discipline in the built environment.
CSI Certification Program
CSI is the construction community’s authority on communication and construction documentation. Through CSI’s Certification Program, you can strengthen and demonstrate your understanding of the entire construction process, and concrete skills in:
- Construction documentation development and administration
- Specification writing and enforcement
- Product research and sourcing
- Communication with the design and contracting teams
CSI’s Certification Program consists of the Construction Documents Technologist (CDT), Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA), Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) and Certified Construction Product Representative (CCPR).
Classes begin February 5th at Walsh Construction. We are offering live video conferencing of the class series for those who cannot attend the class in person due to difficulties from traveling (product reps) or for those who live outside of our area and do not have a local chapter with a CDT class. While physical attendance is always best so you can ask questions and collaborate with other attendees, we recognize that this is difficult for some.
February – 5, 12, 19, 26
March – 4, 11, 18, 25, 31 (Tuesday)
April – 8
