Digital Design Series – Luminaire Level Lighting
Luminaire Level Lighting Controls: What to Consider for New Construction Applications and Available Utility Incentives
With individual sensors embedded in every LED fixture, luminaire level lighting controls (LLLC) represent the most intuitive, flexible light control systems on the market and deliver significant benefits to both building owners and occupants. During this presentation, Angela Pilant, program manager, Evergreen Consulting Group, will present the benefits of LLLC systems in new construction and Rob Doughtie, outreach manager, Energy Trust of Oregon, will review incentives available.
Angela Pilant has worked in the lighting and energy industry since 1995. She joined Evergreen Consulting Group in 2009 and currently works on several energy efficiency programs in the Pacific Northwest providing efficiency measurement research and site consultations. Before Evergreen, she was a Lighting Specialist for Portland General Electric working on their lighting rebate programs. She has also coordinated efforts with large commercial and industrial customers to deliver kWh savings through efficient lighting design and controls. Angela’s Lighting Certified Professional designation from the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions, NCQLP, and her experience with LEED process/documentation support, energy code compliance, emergency egress lighting and roadway lighting make her a valuable resource for clients and trade allies.
