Help the Architecture Foundation of Oregon (AFO), Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI), and National Association of Minority Contractors Oregon Chapter (NAMC OR) guide underserved and under represented youth through the 2019 Portland Hip Hop Architecture Camp. Volunteers have the opportunity to assist students in a number of ways, from understanding architectural concepts, to using Tinkercad, to writing rap lyrics and more.
The camp will run 9am-1pm daily from July 29-August 2 at Self Enhancement, Inc. and will serve incoming SEI 9th graders. We have morning and afternoon shifts available daily. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up for more than one shift. Learn more about the Hip Hop Architecture Camp here: www.af-oregon.org/hip-hop-architecture-camp

About the Event:
In partnership with the Hip Hop Architect Michael Ford, National Association of Minority Contractors Oregon Chapter and Self Enhancement, Inc., the Portland Hip Hop Architecture Camp® is a week long camp that exposes underrepresented youth to architecture, urban planning and design through the lens of hip hop culture.
Founded by Michael Ford, camp participants work with architects, urban planners, designers, community activists and hip hop artists to design new visions for their community.
