About the Event:
On Friday May 10, 2019, we will kick off the Mid-Century Modern Design Series, our signature historic preservation event highlighting mid-century modern architecture, art, and interior design in the Pacific Northwest. Now in its 6th year, the event will focus on how to sensitively renovate mid-century modern and pacific northwest modern homes for today’s lifestyle.

The two-day, preservation-focused design event is open to the public and will offer attendees a lecture panel, a preservation pop-up, a self-driving home tour, and an after-tour party. All proceeds benefit Restore Oregon, a historic preservation non-profit organization that advocates for and saves historic places and communities around the state.

The Mid-Century Modern Home Tour, Saturday May 11, 10am-4pm
Each year Restore Oregon and its committed Mid-Century Modern Committee carefully curates an exclusive tour of homes to best illustrate modernism in Oregon. This year, the self-guided tour showcases five sensitively updated mid-century homes from a spectrum of perspectives including architects, design/build firms, and DIY-ers. Tour homes include a Pietro Belluschi designed home, two homes designed by Robert Rummer, as well as a Day Hilborn-designed home featured in Atomic Ranch Magazine’s latest winter issue.
